Pediatric Urology
Enhancing Patient Awareness through Articles and Videos
This is not a marketing website.
This is a website that I designed and created to provide information on urological conditions with Malaysian context and perspective. It aims to support the day-to-day discussions that I have with my patients, and junior doctors.
There are guidelines on how Malaysian doctors should conduct themselves online. The guidance can be found here [refer rule 18, 19, and 20], and here.
Any health information provided in this website will adhere to the DISCERN Instrument, a validated tool for measuring the quality of written health information, and e-Health Code of Ethics.
In order to provide some credibility to what I write, my professional qualifications are outlined below:
I graduated from University of Malaya in 1999 and obtained Master of Surgery from the National University of Malaysia in 2008. I went on to complete Board of Urology Malaysia Certification in 2012, and FRCS (Urol) (Glasg) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2013. After which, I took up a fifteen-month fellowship in Pediatric Urology at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Since my return to Malaysia, I have been working as Consultant Urologist and Pediatric Urologist with the Ministry of Health Malaysia since 2015, and as a sessional Consultant Urologist in the private health care sector since 2018.
My areas of special interest are pediatric and adolescent urology, reconstructive urology, and functional urology.
My curriculum vitae is available in other professional websites and an updated version is below.
